Are there any side effects of Himalayan salts? This is
the question which I have been curious about and seen a few people asking.
After all salt is salt right? To find out more I conduct a little research and
here’s what I found:
People
who have been drinking Himalayan
salt brine solution over a long time haven’t exhibited any elevation in
blood pressure or kidney ailments. The reason for this is Himalayan salt owing
to its constituent elements and trace minerals is easily digested and
metabolized by the body than ordinary common table salt. Himalayan salt can
safely be used to substitute for refined salt for cooking and seasoning also. A
tablespoon of pure Himalayan salt contains 475 mg of sodium which is an
acceptable and safe quantity, however
people with a pre-existing kidney condition should take caution as their
kidneys are already exerting themselves hard and any imbalance in the body’s
sodium level can have adverse and damaging effects. The intake of Himalayan
salt by patients suffering from high blood pressure has proved to be
beneficial. Being rich in trace minerals, in patients with high blood pressure
it can help to keep the blood pressure at a constant. For people with mineral
deficiency, drinking brine solution (mixture of Himalayan salt and water) is an
excellent way to curb this deficit.
Personally
I conducted an experiment to gauge the true potential of Himalayan salt. This
involved filling two tubs with water and dissolving common salt in one and
Himalayan bath salt in the other. I soaked one of my feet in common salt
solution for 20 minutes and other in the Himalayan salt solution for equal time
interval. The foot that was dipped in Himalayan salt solution displayed
hydrated, smooth and relaxed skin which had a healthy glow to it. Whereas the
feet dipped in common salt solution displayed dried, slightly abraded skin.
The
crux of the matter is that Himalayan salt consumption and its usage doesn’t
have any known or alleged side effects provided the user hasn’t got any
pre-existing health conditions.

ReplyDeleteI am a 51 year old female that just found out I have Motor Neuron Disease Parkinson's about a year and half, but I have been having signs of it for years, tremors, depression, body weakness. ECT. I honestly don't think my doctor was reading the signs because of my gender and age.
